Glades Electric Cooperative

SDR was engaged under a Master Services Agreement with Glades Electric Cooperative (GEC) to provide post-disaster utility emergency services, including power restoration, right-of-way clearance, hazardous tree mitigation, and emergency debris removal. Task Release No. 1 authorized SDR to deploy crews and equipment for emergency storm recovery beginning September 26, 2024.

SDR’s integrated emergency utility services provided GEC with rapid-response vegetation clearance, power restoration, and FEMA-compliant recovery operations, ensuring continuity of service for electric cooperative members.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
  • Power Restoration: Distribution and transmission line repair, conductor and hardware installation, transformer installation, and substation/switching station support.
  • ROW Clearance: Removal of disaster-related vegetative debris from transportation routes and electrical rights-of-way.
  • Hazardous Trees: Cutting, pruning, and removal of storm-damaged or leaning trees threatening electrical circuits.
  • Debris Removal & Disposal: Emergency disposal of poles, insulators, wire, and related electrical debris with federal/state-compliant segregation and reporting.
  • Damage Assessments: Deployment of utility-experienced Damage Assessors, Area Field Managers, and assistants to evaluate broken poles, feeders, and substations with GPS-documented reporting.
